My blog, it lets me be me!

Hello everyone!  I am new to blogging so I have entered this free training course through WordPress to become a better writer.  Even though I started this blog two weeks ago and have already published a few posts I wanted to try this training course before I write too many more.   I now have 10 followers which thrills me to no end as I did not think anyone would want to read my posts!

First task on my journey to better blogging is to introduce the world to my blog and what they can expect so here it goes.  My blog is called Rant and Reason because sometimes things I read in the media send me into a state of anger and disbelief.  How people are being treated, things people get away with and it seems no one can do anything about it.  I do not want to bother my family with the rants because well first of all, they are probably not interested in what I have to say and secondly some things I write about might be too personal to share with family.  Friends on Facebook don’t really want to know how I am feeling today.  Have you ever seen those posts that say, “Keep your personal stuff to yourself, it doesn’t belong here?”  Really?  What kind of friend are you again.  People only want to post their own interests on Facebook, share jokes, memes, etc.  There is no room for real support.

I am a little past middle age (lol!) and I have been self-employed for more than 25 years.  I have started to write a book.  I have six chapters drafted but I am not sure I will ever publish it as there are sensitive events in it that I am not sure I want anyone to know.  I am pretty much a loner full of anxiety issues however some people think I am a social butterfly.  I have become quite good at not showing the real me.  It turns out, that is really what this blog is for.

Since I started writing I have read many other blogs and some posts really inspire me, they hit home.  I can totally relate to anxiety, financial, fitness and weight loss issues.  The more blogs I read, the more I want to write and the more I write the more I want to read.  I know a little bit about a lot of things, enough to write about many topics but I don’t consider myself an expert in any of them.  If I was an expert I wouldn’t have to learn anymore.  I never want to stop learning.

I am married, have a beautiful Kitty Kat and a a very supportive husband.  I honestly believe if I had not met him twenty-five years ago I would not be alive today.  That’s a story for another day!

Thank you for checking in,

I’m Frazzled Again.

  1. Anxiety was something that unexpectedly entered my life about 25 years ago. I don’t even know the trigger, but I would have panic attacks and was becoming fearful to leave my home. A physician suggested seeing a Hypnotherapist. It was the best thing ever. I still have anxiety, but now I can recognize triggers and can mostly control it. Most people have no idea that I have anxiety. I think it is wonderful that you are speaking openly about it on your blog.

  2. Hi Frazzled,
We have much in common. We both know Sally, we both write, we are comparable ages, and from what I can tell it sounds like we have politics in common. If I am correct in my assumption, there are many Facebook groups that allow us
    To vent.
Maybe you can check out my blog if you need any blogging Tips. That’s what I write about. I also have Meet and Greets like Sally.
Congratulations on starting your blog recently. I help new bloggers at my site. I blog at
Nice to meet you and happy new year.
