I spent most of my life listening to the great country music legends of all time. I do like other types of music but nothing moves me as much as the greats. There are a few still alive like Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Vince Gill. So many are gone now…
There’s truth in the song, “Who’s Gonna Fill Their Shoes?” by George Jones. What a great song writer and singer he was, along with his ex-wife Tammy Wynette who is also gone.
Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, John Denver, the list goes on and on. Nothing like listening to a country song when you are down to make you feel downer, lol! Personally I can’t listen to any music while I am working. I am so distracted by it. I just want to listen to the words whether it is a happy song or sad.
I am thankful for You Tube videos of the greats. Once in a while I go on there and look up an artist just to listen to a couple of songs when I’m having a slow day at work. Imagine a world where no music was playing? Lorrie Morgan and Keith Whitley recorded a duet called, “A Picture of me, without you,” and the imagine a world line was in it. George Jones recorded it too. Thinking about this brings back so many memories.
Are there any country music fans reading this?
