He is so mild-mannered

via Daily Prompt: Mild

I am constantly reminded in daily activities how mild-mannered my husband is.  Yesterday, we got a phone in regards to a family matter.  My first response is to get angry, negative, over-react and make matters worse.

Right away he says to me, Calm down, don’t read more in to it that it actually is.  You don’t know the whole story, you are only hearing part of it.  It is not necessary to make matters worse.  He always manages to calm me down, he knows the right thing to say.  It wasn’t even my family, it was his, yet he is able to remain calm.

It is truly his up-bringing.  His mother was the same.  She knew how to calm his dad down.  She had a positive attitude about everything.  We miss her dearly at Christmas time, well anytime really, but anytime.  I can still picture her standing in the kitchen with her Christmas apron on, flashing Santa pin and earrings.  She was such a fun and loving lady.

Happy reminiscing folks,

I’m Frazzled Again.
