Oh My Gosh! First day of healthy eating and my hubby decides he’s going to fry bologna! We had already discussed that he wouldn’t be cooking bacon anymore, starting today. Hmmm, we never discuss bologna. He’s usually pretty helpful when I’m trying to eat healthy. I didn’t cave though, I passed on the balogna, Suck-sess! It is so difficult.
I managed to finish off that carton of ice cream before I went to bed last night. I probably shouldn’t brag about that, however, a success is a success. I posted yesterday morning how I had ice cream for breakfast trying to empty the fridge of unhealthy food. Right after I finished eating it, my husband came home with bacon so I had to eat that breakfast. I did not want to tell him I just had ice cream. If you have or ever have had acid reflux, ice cream is not a great thing to have on hand. Dairy products, especially before going to bed creates flem in the throat, just another reason not to eat ice cream because I have bad acid reflux.
I will weigh in once a week, every Monday morning and I will post every Monday night about my progress. Please feel free to share your comments whether you are changing your eating habits, losing weight and what you do, or you can write a post about it and put a link in the comment section of this post along with a comment o people can read what you are doing. If you are going to share a link it would be nice if you are following my blog and not just promoting a business this is so that other bloggers can discover different ways for them to eat healthier if they want to. My way isn’t going to be right for everyone. The two photos above shows a previous time of healthy eating, losing 20 lbs. The very left photo I weigh 140 lbs. The very right I weight 120. Same clothes. This time I couldn’t fit in to the pants so they are a bigger size because I am 10 lbs heavier. Inside left photo I am 150 lbs, also inside right photo as today’s weight in. Each week I will change that particular photo wearing the same clothes and new weight. The difference is mostly in the arms, waist and legs.

I am going to do a separate post about how to figure out how many calories you should eat to lose weight, how many calories you should eat to maintain once you are at your goal. I will also share my Day 1 menu and a list of foods and calories that work together for weight loss by eating healthy in that post. It will be up to you to make up your own menu if you choose to try it. I will find a website that will help you figure out your calorie count and wise choices.
I know counting calories sounds like a lot of work but once you have the list of foods you like and how many calories are in each, you only have to refer back to your list. You don’t have to look it up every time.
Exercise is important too if you can do it. This healthy eating plan will let you lose weight without exercise but it is way more beneficial for your overall health if you do excercise. I will add that to the schedule starting next week. I have DVD’s of latin dance excercise which works great, again, only if you stick to it.
Anyway, I will cover all that in the next post so until then, think positive.
