I’m Always Shocked at Tax Time!

via Daily Prompt: Shock

It is the dreaded tax seasons.  I have to catch up on all the bookkeeping for two businesses, mine and my husband’s.  Mine wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for figuring out the inventory that hasn’t sold over the years.  My husband’s business is more involved.  More invoices, more receipts, inventory, equipment, etc.

I am always shocked when I see my husband’s gross income, deposits in the bank, less taxes.  I’m even more shocked when I see the amount of money that went out for payments, taxes, payroll, insurance and all that good stuff.

I’ve been busy, hard at it and as a result, this is the first post in two days.  It will be another few I think, before I can blog again.  Maybe by Monday I’ll have my work under control and will be able to blog again.  I miss it.  I’ve only been doing it such a short time, but two days without blogging, reading other blog seems like a week.  It’s amazing how quickly the views on the stats go down.

We, as bloggers really have to keep on top of things to gain followers and have lots of views and comments and to keep them coming.  It is not a real big deal, but it definitely makes me want to get my tax returns done faster so I can get back to it.  My husband will appreciate getting them done early.  That will be a first.

Well, I’ll see you on the other side of the weekend.  Have a great one!

I’m Frazzled Again.

  1. Ever since my husband and I got married (2012) I have always managed to get our taxes done by mid January. We usually get everything online by January 8th. This year, everyone seems to be slacking and it’s making me mad! Lol. We are still waiting for his w2 since the company switched their payroll website to someone else. I also like doing taxes, though it’s not as detailed as what you’re doing. I just use TurboTax lol.
