via Daily Prompt: Creature

I was looking for photos of a creature to write the daily prompt post.  I wanted to see if I could find one that might look like the monster a child would see under their bed at night.  This is a photo of a gargoyle statue.  Do children see monsters like this under their bed?  Or do they see something more like a big blog, or something with long hairy arms like a gigantic spider?

I don’t remember seeing monsters under my bed at night when I was a child.  The only thing I saw when I closed my eyes, was a spinning room.  I would feel ill and dizzy sometimes when I tried to sleep.  My whole body would tense up, my chest would pound and it felt like my heart would jump right out.

I didn’t have children of my own.  I wonder what they would draw, if they were asked to draw a picture of the monster, or creature they were so afraid of at night.

Do you have any pictures that your children drew when they were young, of the monster they were afraid of?  Maybe your children are still young?  Have they made any art to represent their scary monster?  What did it look like?  What color was it?

If you feel like sharing any artwork that would be awesome, if not that is okay too!

Sweet dreams tonight folks,

I’m Frazzled Again.
